Job Description

As a Lead Network Engineer, you will work on the Global Infrastructure Design and Delivery Team. This team that is accountable for the Colocation Infrastructure in all of the regions. This will include Cloud (AWS/Azure), network (LAN/WAN), SD-WAN (Silver Peak), F5 Load Balancers and Wireless (Cisco and Aruba). In addition to projects, you will also collaborate on IT Infrastructure strategy for the Kelllnova network. You must be able to take direction, work independently, and complete projects in a timely manner. Location preference is Chicago, IL Metropolitan Area, Battle Creek MI and will consider remote.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
• Technology Ownership: Be accountable for all Kellanova IT Infrastructure while working with the business and IT process owners globally to ensure Infrastructure is fit for purpose. Understand functional requirements and specifications for all of Kellanova’s infrastructure.
• Solution Design and Delivery: Work with our internal customers globally to collect requirements and provide designs/costs. Be responsible for design, implementation, and vendors that do the work. Oversee quality design, technical planning, build activities, and validation.
• Operational Oversight: Act as escalation point for any network related issues and drives resolution with other IT teams. Be part of a monthly on-call rotation.
• Drive improvements for the IT Infrastructure:Be the primary technical voice and escalation contact for IT Infrastructure in all regions when required.

Your Recipe for Success
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or 8+ years of Networking related work experience with the following:
• Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches
• Cisco and Aruba wireless
• Silver Peak SD-Wan
• TCP/IP Stack
• BGP, EIGRP and OSPF
• Client and site-to-site vpn
• DNS/DHCP
• Technical knowledge in a variety of IT infrastructure areas with focus on Data Centers
• Experience working on large, complex IT Infrastructure projects with a proven track record of delivering results in a global environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills along with the ability to collaborate across all groups and levels.
• Ability to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with business partners or vendors.
• Must be open to change, demonstrate an ability to operate in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision, while demonstrating strong personal drive and self-motivation.
• Strong business acumen, analytical aptitude, project management skills, problem-solving skills and capability to formulate issues and recommendations clearly.
